The Information Technology department supervises and coordinates operations of computers, local and wide area networks, AS/400 operations, e-mail, Internet access and telecommunications within County Government.
The IT Director is in charge of maintaining all related operating systems, application software and hardware, and systems documentation. The director proposes policies and guidelines regarding the purchase, installation, and use of information technology. In addition, IT reviews all requests and recommends purchase of new technology and coordinates training activities for county staff.
The IT Director is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the county’s Geographic Information System (GIS) program.
