Social Worker- Child Protection/ Children’s Services

DUTIES INCLUDE: Under general supervision through state and locally developed programs and policies, identifies individual, family and community problems and selects and applies most effective program to work toward rehabilitation, prevention or control.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with a major in social work, psychology or sociology (or related field) AND
- Attain a passing score on the Minnesota Merit Social Worker’s Criteria
- Valid Minnesota driver’s license or equivalent evidence of mobility
Salary: $30.27/Hour with full County benefits
Full-time Position/ 40 Hours per Week

Eligibility Worker
Lake of the Woods County Social Services
GENERAL DUTIES: Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks related to the determination of eligibility of clients for income maintenance programs and services; establish initial and on-going eligibility for multiple income maintenance programs; communicates program requirements and assists program participants in understanding how to maintain eligibility; supports program participants in achieving the highest degree of independence and in addressing barriers to self-sufficiency; provides education, enrollment and assistance to managed health care enrollees; makes appropriate referrals to other community resources; and performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years of clerical experience or experience working with the public, or some combination of the two, totaling three years. OR
- Two years of clerical experience in a social services/human services agency. OR
- Two years of study at an accredited community college or university or similar institution, with emphasis in the behavioral sciences, business, or closely related subjects (at least 23 quarter credits or 16 semester credits). OR
- Successful completion of the technical college Human Services Eligibility Worker diploma program (applicants must be within six months of completion of the program). OR
- Successful completion of the technical college Human Services Eligibility Worker certificate program will substitute for one year of the required clerical experience or experience working with the public.
- Must be familiar with work in a rural setting.
- Valid Minnesota Driver License or show ability to travel
- The successful applicant must undergo a background investigation with favorable adjudication.
Salary: $24.89 with full County benefits
Full-time Position/ 40 Hours per Week

LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF
COUNTY AUDITOR-TREASURER
DUTIES INCLUDE:
The county auditor/treasurer is the county’s chief financial officer, property tax administrator as well as the chief election official at the county level. The auditor/treasurer is a member of the County Board of Equalization, the county canvassing committee, and as directed by the board of commissioner, participates on various other committees. In addition, county auditor/treasurer serves as public information officer; performs duties as instructed by County Board; administers and evaluates office staff and ultimately assumes responsibility for all work of the department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field with a major or concentration in accounting
- Eight (8) or more years of related experience in accounting practices/procedures and office management
Salary: $45.65/hour Depending on Experience
Full-time Position/ 40 Hours per Week / Full County Benefits
