LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF
APPRAISER I, II or III
Lake of the Woods County Assessor’s Office
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs valuation and classification of property for tax assessment purposes according to state and county guidelines. This position is responsible for field inspections, maintaining accurate information in a mass appraisal system, analyzing real estate sales, applying accurate methods for the valuation processes, responding to taxpayers’ concerns, and resolving formal and informal appeals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent; and at least 6 months of related work experience
- Ability to obtain a Certified MN Assessor (CMA) designation within 18 months
- Possess valid Minnesota Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Possess official documentation to pass between the United States and Canada
Salary: $23.47-$35.25 Depending on Experience

Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office, Baudette, MN is inviting applications for a part-time E-911 Dispatcher/ Corrections Officer.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Under general supervision, receives incoming calls and complaints and dispatches county units and coordinates Law Enforcement, ambulance and fire personnel in the field under emergency conditions. Officer will maintain security of jail facility and inmates in accordance with Department of Corrections and departmental rules and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- The job requires a high school diploma and one year of work requiring public contact, communications, customer service, or equivalent
- Must be able to attain CJIS Terminal Operator Certification; First Aid/CPR Certification; Distribution of Medication Certification
Starting Salary: $22.28
