LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF
PERMANENT PART-TIME DEPUTY SHERIFF
NOTE: This position will be guaranteed 30 hours per week with County Benefits.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Incumbent will be required to enforce laws of the State of Minnesota and Lake of the Woods County. Performs additional duties such as transporting prisoners, mentally ill, and inebriated; serving legal documents; executing court orders; serving warrants; providing court security; investigating crimes; and serving and executing search warrants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- P.O.S.T. certified, sixteen hours CLE yearly, certified first aid, firearms certified. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred.

Starting Salary: $28.27/hour

OFFICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST

NOTE: IN ADDITION TO THE COUNTY APPLICATION, YOU NEED TO FILL OUT THE MERIT APPLICATION AND PASS AN EXAM TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
DUTIES INCLUDE: Under general supervision serves as first contact between the public and employees of all departments within the agency and demands the ability to be a constructive link between the public and agency workers and our service providers/vendors. This position requires some knowledge of all agency programs and plays a large part in the coordination of all services in a proficient, discreet, and timely manner to enhance the agency’s effectiveness. The position includes performing moderately difficult administrative support duties requiring independent judgment and multi-tasking.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The job requires a minimum of a High School Degree or equivalent and a passing score of the Minnesota State Merit System Office Support Specialist exam. Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license. Upon hire, further online training must be satisfactorily completed.
Salary: $20.64 with full County benefits
Full-time Position/ 40 Hours per Week
